If you're having trouble activating Microsoft 365 or Office on your Windows device, don't worry - we've got you covered. In this article, we'll guide you through the process of installing and activating Microsoft Word and other Microsoft 365 apps.

To begin, make sure you have a valid product key and an associated Microsoft account or work/school account. If you're using a stand-alone app like Word 2021 or Project 2021, you may not need to sign in with an account.

To start the installation process, click on the Launchpad icon in the Dock and select the Microsoft Word icon (or another Microsoft 365 or Office icon). This will launch the installation wizard. Follow the prompts to enter your Mac login password if prompted, and then click Install Software.

During the installation process, you may be given the option to customize the installation by selecting which apps you want to install. If you only want to install specific apps and not the entire suite, click the Customize button and uncheck the programs you don't want.

Once the installation is complete, you'll see a prompt to sign in with your work or school account if necessary. If you're using a business subscription plan that includes the desktop version of Microsoft 365 apps, you may need someone in your organization to assign a license to you before you can install the apps.
